Lots of designers are now embracing the use of outdoor fabrics for indoor spaces, especially in high-traffic locations such as kitchens, kids rooms, and dens. Outdoor fabrics are typically water resistant and are often made from synthetics combined with natural fibers. They are also treated with coatings to protect against moisture, stains, mold, mildew, and fading from UV light, but treating with Fiber-Seal will strengthen the protection even more.
Clean-up is generally very easy, utilizing warm, soapy water and a damp towel to wipe away soiling. Newer outdoor fabrics are very durable, and designs and colors today are quite extensive, perfect for indoor uses. Cost can be a bit higher than indoor fabric due to the added features and durability, but there is no reason to shy away from the beautiful new styles and colors of outdoor fabrics for inside applications.
